Our Story

Blended Designs About Us
A Family Affair

We are a small family business headquartered in Jacksonville, FL with distribution in multiple US locations. We specialize in apparel and gifts with positive messages. We are focused on enjoying life and loving ourselves - "unapologetically". All of our products are available in "any color you like as long as it is black" - Henry Ford. Of course, we are flexible and like to stir things up from time to time.

Purchase With A Purpose

Education is extremely vital to breaking the cycle of poverty and the prison pipeline that plaques our community.  Someone has to be first.  Someone has to be the change.  That's why we focus on first generation college students, specifically females in the inner city.  We want to help them navigate the path to a four year degree.  We want to change the question asked high school juniors and seniors from "are you going to college?" to "which college are you going to?"  We want to redefine #squadgoals.

Our donations are strictly for non-profit organizations and scholarships that share our vision and understand the difficulty involved with being first.  While we have a special love for STEM majors, we help students find schools and majors that reflect their passion. We help students attend college tours sponsored by local high schools and contribute to the local college fairs.  A portion of the profits from EVERY purchase help a first generation college student obtain a bachelor's degree.

Meet Our Founder

Casey R. Kelley, Founder

Casey R. Kelley

Jacksonville, Florida

"When I was planning my wedding in 2014, I wanted everything to be unique and to really reflect my husband, Harvey, and me.  I wanted every single thing to have a personal touch.  We made everything.  As a result, the feedback was amazing.  We were encouraged to start a business.  I wanted the name to reflect our new blended family.  Harvey's oldest daughter came up with the name Blended Designs.

Not knowing how to start, I focused on Etsy.  I wanted something that no one else offered and began creating custom "Will You Be My..." wedding puzzles.  At the time, we were the only ones offering them.  They were extremely popular but A LOT of work.  I was working my full-time analytical job and staying up until two or three in the morning to fulfill orders. I basically had two full-time jobs and I realized that I wasn't able to really spend time with my family due to the demand.  It seemed ironic to start a family business and then to only see them in passing.  I also didn't feel like I was "making a difference".  I felt like something was missing.  I wanted to change directions and really focus on something that was representative of me and my core values.  I also wanted to make sure that I was sending positive messages and encouraging young girls that look like me to pursue education.  So I shifted and started creating designs for apparel that offer positive affirmations of beauty and empowerment and launched a website separate from Etsy.  But more importantly, I wanted to make sure that I was giving back which is why we started giving a portion of our profits to education."
